Delicious sausage and vegetable stew

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Onion & Garlic: Start by finely chopping the onion and mincing the garlic. Set them aside.
    • Zucchini: Dice the zucchini into small cubes.
    • Cabbage: Shred the cabbage into thin strips.
  2. Sauté the Base:
    • In a large skillet or pot, heat a generous amount of olive oil over medium heat.
    • Add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes translucent and soft.
    • Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, until fragrant.
  3. Add Vegetables:
    • Stir in the diced zucchini and cook for about 5 minutes, or until it starts to soften.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    • If using hunting sausages, add the sliced sausages now and cook until they’re nicely browned.
  4. Combine with Cabbage:
    • Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet, stirring well to combine with the onion, garlic, and zucchini.
    • Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and slightly caramelized.
  5. Flavor It Up:
    • Stir in the ketchup for a touch of sweetness and tanginess.
    • Sprinkle in the paprika, dried dill, and any additional vegetable seasoning you like.
    • Mix well and let the flavors meld together for a few minutes.
  6. Add the Eggs:
    • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then pour them over the cabbage mixture.
    • Stir continuously to ensure the eggs are evenly distributed and cooked through. This will give the dish a rich, custardy texture.
  7. Thicken and Creamify:
    • Mix in the flour gradually to thicken the dish slightly and create a cohesive texture.
    • Add the sour cream and stir until everything is well combined and creamy.
  8. Final Touches:
    • Adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
    • Allow the dish to simmer for a few more minutes until everything is well-cooked and heated through.
  9. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Serve the cabbage with eggs hot, directly from the skillet. It pairs wonderfully with a side of crusty bread or a fresh salad.

Tips:

  • For a Vegetarian Option: Simply omit the hunting sausages and the dish will still be delicious and satisfying.
  • For Added Flavor: Experiment with different herbs and spices to tailor the dish to your taste preferences.
  • Storage: This dish keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and can be easily reheated.
