How to Avoid Marks and Remove Grease from Tiles

If you notice footprints or greasy streaks on your tiles after cleaning, it’s likely due to the products or techniques you’re using. To avoid this, follow these tips:

  1. Use the Right Cleaning Products: Avoid oily or wax-based cleaners that leave residue. Opt for pH-neutral cleaners or a simple vinegar and water solution.
  2. Proper Mopping Technique: Use a damp mop, not a wet one, and dry the floor immediately to prevent streaks.
  3. Regular Maintenance: Sweep daily and mop weekly to prevent dirt buildup.

Removing Grease from Tiles

For stubborn grease:

  • Mix baking soda with dish soap and warm water to form a paste. Scrub greasy spots, then rinse and dry.
  • Alternatively, spray a mixture of vinegar and water onto the tiles, let it sit, then wipe it clean.

Shine Tiles and Clean Grout with Baking Soda

For tile grout:

  • Mix 4 tablespoons of baking soda with white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray it on the grout, let it sit for 24 hours, scrub with a brush, rinse, and enjoy clean grout and shiny tiles.

To prevent grout from getting dirty again, apply a protective sealant.

These easy steps will keep your tiles looking clean and streak-free!
