How To Restore Dull Clothing To Bright And White Again

I’d say that the majority of my clothing is white or cream. I love neutral-colored clothing because it goes with everything and is easy to match. The only downside to having lots of white clothing is that it becomes stained and dingy-looking in a very short amount of time. However, you can restore dull white clothing by trying out these simple tips!

1. Lemon And Vinegar

Seriously, what can’t lemon and vinegar do?! These two natural products work to remove stains and brighten up dull white clothing. Just mix equal parts of lemon juice and distilled vinegar, then toss the solution in with your regular wash cycle. You’ll be amazed at what a difference two natural products can make.

2. Baking Soda

Baking soda is a seriously underrated little product. To restore whites to their former glory, dissolve one part of baking soda in four parts of water. Soak the clothing item in question in the solution for about an hour. When the time’s up, wash in the washing machine as you normally would.

3. Aspirin

Crush six to seven aspirins and place them in a wash basin or your sink. Fill the sink with water, then soak your whites in the solution for a couple of hours. Afterwards, wash as you normally would. Aspirin works wonders for breaking down stains and brightening up white fabrics.

Now that you know these simple tips, you’ll be able to bring back your whites! And the best part is, there’s no need for bleach or other harsh chemicals. Sounds like a win-win situation to me.
